Jason and Mexi

Sharpie on cardstock. Once again art for Christmas. I'm cheap. What can I say? This is Jason who thinks he's a pimp and Mexi who knows he's not. Sketched with pencil and then colored in with sharpie. It's also an 8 x 10. Merry Christmas, Jason and Mexi.

Bowie

Sharpie on cardstock. This little guy is Bowie. I decided to give art for Christmas this year. I took a picture of Bowie when he was a pup and he gave me this look of "get that damn camera out of my face!" and it was priceless. I sketched it with pencil first then colored it in with sharpie. It's an 8 x 10. Merry Christmas, Kendra.

Light of the World

Acrylic on canvas. Tried to do something different this time. Yes there is a gimmick. Stare at his eye for 30 seconds then look at the wall next to it and you will see his face not reversed. Going for the feel good vote on this one. Pray and concentrate on Him and you will see His face.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Abstract Painting No. 5

Another abstract painting. No real story. No meaning. Just thought it looked nice.

Quick Sketch

Pencil on paper. I work at a print shop. We're working on a poster for a play. So my boss comes to me yesterday and said, "Hey, you can draw. I need a clipart of a girl at a desk and I can't find one that looks like what we need. Draw one." I didn't know she knew I could draw. Guess what, she saw the blog. So I had to throw this on paper right then. Can you guess what play?

Eye Love LOST

Pixels on your screen. :) Just playing around with Photoshop. Swiped 2 pics off Google images and put them together to show my obsession with LOST. I'm gonna miss that show.

Go To Your Home

I like to play disc golf. I suck at it. I took this photo to remind myself where the discs are supposed to go. The pic turned out better than my golf game.

Run Dorothy Run!

Halloween 2008. How perfect is this shot! I tried to get the kids to stop for a pic and I'm glad they didn't. Dorothy (Autumn) being chased by the Wicked Witch (Bailey).

Another Bottle

Acrylic on canvas. Again I tried to tackle glass. I won't do it again. Light on shiny objects are hard to paint. This time I used a cheap wine bottle.

Abstract Painting No. 2

Acrylic on canvas. Another abstract. This one reminds me of neurons firing. There's more red in the painting but it doesn't show up well in the pic.

Turtle Tattoo

Ink on Mandi. :) Mandi wanted a tattoo to represent her babies. She calls them turtle. I don't know why. I just draw the pictures. I didn't do the tattoo myself. She won't let me...I think I'm offended. I did the original drawing in pencil and the tattoo artist filled in the color.

Abstract Painting No. 1

Acrylic on canvas. No real explanation for this one. No story. I was just going for "trippy" I guess.

Brady's Shark

Acrylic on drywall :) This lovely creature is swimming in Brady Jackson's room. It was either this or Sponge Bob. I think he made the right choice. It took about 8 hours to do this, a school of sharks and a pilot fish...oh and bubbles. Lots of bubbles.

The Bottle

Acrylic on canvas. I wanted to give realistic painting a try so I searched around the house for something to paint and all I found was my empty beer bottle. I already do abstract pictures...more on the "trippy" side of painting. The bottle was not the best subject but I learned alot about light and how much of a nightmare glass is to recreate.

Chicago Nights

Took this shot in Chicago while on a whirlwind weekend in the middle of winter. Just a piece of important info that someone should have shared with me...Chicago in the middle of February is colder than anything you can imagine. It was beautiful but only if you were looking out from the inside of a coffee shop or museum or hotel. This shot was taken from the car while driving around looking for something warm to do. I had no idea my camera was on the black and white setting but I'm glad it was. Thought this pic turned out great.

Cats outside are crazy. All twitchy and rolly.

Well, that makes me happy

My LOST Obsession

These two are just an example of my unhealthy obsession with the tv show "LOST" on ABC.
Top - Man in Black in pencil
Bottom - Jacob and Locke in sharpie

Flying Sacred Heart

This is a tattoo I drew back in 2001 for Mandi Jackson. It matches a tat that her husband Jason has. She wanted a more feminine look so I got rid of the thorns and added flowers.

Happy Birthday, Loki!

Today is Loki's 1st birthday. Loki is my Jack Russell mix pain in the butt. I love him so much I had to draw a pic for his birthday.

Why am I here?

Why am I here? That is the question, isn't it? I just needed a place to post drawings or any other creative thing I or my friends create to share with our friends. If you like what I post tell me and everyone else. If you don't like anything, well my bad!

Thanks
